Sunday Meeting

Those who can make it,

Were holding a brief meeting on Sunday to finish up the lieca reel due next week. It will be mostly editing and tie up drawings but if your near the school or in the school that day for life drawing portfolios etc, drop by. Well be in:

SUNDAY MEETING CANCELED DUE TO BAD WEATHER

Hi all, lots of us cannot make it in today due to roads not being plowed yet and the simple fact thats its sucky out.

MEETING WILL INSTEAD BE TOMORROW AT 11 AM - 3 PM
4 hours to try and get everything done before the lecture.
Try your hardest to be there, so that you get to contribute in the story changes.

Find your part here, clean it up, add a panel or two if you think it needs it.

Lisa needs to add a looking around shot.
I'm doing the opening pan. + final shot of the sky cause i need more panels.

Clean up, add panels if you feel they are needed, just do a good job please this is a group mark.

Story Board Cleanups

Hey all,

The 5 story board revisers met Friday night and stayed up late fixing and revising our story, Some major changes were made as we were all upset by the way that the lieca reel turned out. This is no one persons fault of course. We believe that through the semester we were pushed to hard into creating a short film which contained the same amount of content as a full length feature. We did that and it made our film feel rushed and cheesy.

We started breaking down what needed to be removed and we realized that we needed to get rid of some major scenes. The beginning for instance.

Upon realizing this we decided it wise to not limit ourselves to just the outline of our original story.

We roughed out a new story and didn't limit ourselves to 9 panels each or other stupid limitations that were imposed on us in the semester. We finished very rough boards and did a lieca test. It turned out great! Funnier, shorter and much more fun to watch that our old film.

YOU WILL BE GIVEN BOARDS TOMORROW IN THE MEETING, SO WE CAN SEE AS A GROUP HOW THE NEW STORY FLOWS AND SO NO ONE MAKES MISTAKES.

Remember to draw the characters on model, if the rough boards you receive are slightly off model that dosn't mean they are right, don't just trace over them.


Ill try to post the lieca on the blog as well so can all see the new simple spin on our old story.

i just used blocks of colours, not that many lines, and applied few textures.



the first one is without foreground.. which i think works better somehow lol

Hello.
I told you that I am going to post up my revised rough boards by tonight, but something came up and I will not able to do so.
I am so sorry...
However, I will bring my roughs on Monday so that I may get your feedbacks in person.
My revised boards will be shorter and much more fast-paced; I will do my best to fit in.

a composition idea for the cornfield layout

Hi, all.

This thumbnail is done by Mr. Komza, as a revision of my cornfield layout.

I am putting up this because it would be a good reference for layout people.

And also, I am so sorry for not being able to attend our Sunday's meeting because I have to go to the church in downtown on that day.

Especially I am sorry for not being there although my storyboards have the most problems.

I did not really understand the middle part of my assigned part of the story, but after the meeting I get what's going on in the sequence.

What I am going to do is that I will draw rough, revised storyboards of my part and will post them on the blog by Saturday night.

In that way, you can give me feedbacks on my new boards on Sunday's meeting.

I did not know about the animation called Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends so I looked for a clip of that animation.

For those who do not know Foster's, I put a link of the animation. It has a very nice style :)

Meeting Info

Meeting Sunday 2:00 PM
for Story Board Development

Hi all,

We will be moving the meeting that we discussed today from Friday after class to Sunday at 2pm

The reasons for this change are as follows:
1. Andrea our story lead won't be able to stay long at all Friday as she has some very important things to take care of, and she is looking over the boards to identify changes that need to be made.
2. With only one night to identify changes we may miss something.
3. Friday after class only allows for a short discussion as we will loose people due to real life issues. Sunday allows for a longer duration of time.

If you cannot attend this meeting please email me : Jakegf@hotmail.com or make a post here. This is simply so we don't waist time waiting on you.

This meeting to to asses changes that must be made for the board finals, and we will make a list of things that need to be changed. AND YES, we will check it twice to see if your knotty or nice.

Revision to the storyboard and character designs

Hi!

We are going to discuss more about the storyboard revision once we get our feedback. But there are some continuity and character issues.
- Until Lettie's boards, alien should have the helmet on full time.
- Please use the proper boards next time and label all your boards.
- If you don't know how to label them, ask other group members or refer to the handouts.
- We are using Lettie's latest design for the character, so ask me or other group members for a design pack.

We need extra character model sheet and prop model sheet.
- Lettie or Miyeon, please feel free to adjust the old character or MiYeon's new boss character design and make a rotation sheet for it.
- Kid needs a model sheet with a helmet on the kid, rotated.
- Props for items we haven't included, I guess I could take care of those.

Other than that.. I can't think of what to bring up for group meeting. ...
